At the behest of a publisher who had me on the hook since February, I was encouraged to grow my social media platform. One of the platforms I decided to focus on was YouTube, particularly their new Shorts channel – featuring short videos under 60 seconds. I was challenged to create 30 Shorts in 30 days, and I’m at the tail end of it.
Over the past twelve months, I’ve been using all the videos and photos I’ve taken of our travels over the years to teach myself how to edit and tell stories in a visual medium. These Shorts focus on the many outdoor adventures I’ve taken with Chels and our kids. But I will soon be using the platform to tell my personal stories in more depth, using both long-form and short-form video content. I just about have all the tools and skills I need to get started.
