It’s a double-header Saturday morning and Aspen is playing with the Pueblo Rangers Soccer Club. It’s her last season on the recreational team before making it on the competitive team. Cooper has a co-starring role in this one. He makes his debut as a referee for the league.
It’s season two at Monarch Mountain. Cooper’s been in ski school and it’s really beginning to show. I can barely keep up with the kid. This is my second season riding after a ten-year hiatus living in Arkansas, and that’s definitely obvious – I think I catch an edge or two at the end.
In June 1965, my granddad embarked on a road trip across West Texas, documenting it with Kodak slides that remained hidden for decades. I recently restored the images and was inspired to retrace the journey with my own family in 2024, where I rendezvoused with Uncle Skipper in Terlingua.

For Father’s Day, Ford Granada took the family camping near Rampart Reservoir in Colorado. It was four days of fun on the water and in the woods. They even survived a gnarly hailstorm. But…they also had to survive Freakout Mom, Sugared Up Aspen, and The Notorious Bindy.
