Johnny gets moved to outposts Pork Chop, T-Bone, and Old Baldy where he digs trenches and pulls guard duty.
“Well, here it is Christmas and the first one in my life that I have spent away from home. But – it is for a good cause and I am proud that I can do my little part for it.”
The next ten letters cover the month of November 1952. Back from the Front, Johnny gets sent to the Rear where he has time to pontificate.
